PROMOTES
The PROMOTES (Providing Realistic Opportunities to Mentor On-site Training for Employment Skills) Employment Project is a program designed to provide support to students interested in gaining paid employment. The program was developed through a partnership between the Department of Psychology at Western Michigan University and the Van Buren Intermediate School District (VBISD).
The PROMOTES team individualizes its services to fit the needs of each participant in the program. In addition, the PROMOTES program provides supports before, during and after students have gained paid employment in order to support a successful transition into the workforce.
