Enhancing Autism Services & Training

The WMU Autism Center of Excellence was established to facilitate a sweeping array of initiatives that use high-tech methods to help train mental health practitioners, parents, and others working with autism spectrum disorder, ultimately leading to wider certification of other professionals trained in treating autism.

    Western's Evaluation Center for Autism and Neurodevelopmental Disorders (WECAN) opened in 2015, offering comprehensive, interdisciplinary diagnostic evaluations for autism spectrum disorder.
